Dermal Fillers are popular injectable treatments at
Medical Esthetique Med Spa.
They’re the perfect way to add volume or symmetry to your face. Our clients come to us because they feel their face looks less round, droopy, saggy, or sunken. A touch of dermal filler helps soften lines and eliminate deep creases and allows for a contoured jawline defining the neck, chin, and jaw.
Why we love Dermal Fillers and you will too

We have various dermal fillers perfectly formulated to treat specific areas like cheeks, facial wrinkles, lips and lip lines, smile and laugh lines, and more.
Dermal Fillers move with the dynamic movements of your face so that your facial expressions look natural and authentically you.
Come visit us at Medical Esthetique in San Diego for consultation and appointment, and we’ll gladly talk you through what your journey to rejuvenation looks like.

How do Dermal Fillers work?
Dermal Fillers are made of hyaluronic acid-based gel which is similar to the hyaluronic acid [HA] in our skin, joints, and connective tissues. It serves as a kind of glue that binds collagen fibers together. It also attracts water, giving the skin a supple, youthful appearance. As we age, hyaluronic acid and collagen levels in our skin start to decline, making the skin less elastic causing wrinkling, and skin folds.
Dermal Fillers replenish the hyaluronic acid under the skin restoring a refreshed, healthy, vibrant appearance. Adding volume to sunken areas of the face decreases the shadows that cast on the face causing what appears to be darkened skin, like dark under-eye circles.
Make your Dermal Fillers last
Of course, you’re wondering how long dermal fillers last. Depending on the filler that’s right for you, the results may last anywhere from 6-months to 18-24 months. We’ll chat about pricing and dermal filler options during the consultation and appointment.
p.s. The quality of your at-home skincare affects how long filler results last. An optimal skin care routine includes SPF daily, washing your face before bed, and moisturizing daily. Let’s chat for more recommendations. See you soon!
Are Dermal Fillers safe?
Dermal Fillers are approved by the FDA and are safe to use. Serious side effects are rare, and we’ll discuss them before treatment.
It’s best to avoid blood thinners like aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol in the days before your appointment.
Most dermal fillers are dissolvable and reversible.
