Ever wonder what causes wrinkles?

We admit it. Life without wrinkles is pretty great! Wrinkles are a normal part of the aging process due to slowed collagen and elastin production, and damage to the skin from environmental and lifestyle factors, UV exposure, etc.

Dysport (or Botox) injections are the best place to start when you’re ready to prevent signs of aging by prejuvenating your skin or, if you’re already ‘there’ maybe you want to undo the signs of aging and rejuvenate your skin. Either way, we’ve got ‘ya covered.

You are normal, and so are your wrinkles, AND it’s perfectly ok to want to slow down or soften the signs of aging to maintain a look that compliments the way you feel inside —active, vibrant, and as young as you feel!

Imagine looking refreshed, less tired, and a couple years younger.

How do Dysport and

Botox Work?

Dysport and Botox are neuromodulator injections that help relax muscles that have a stronger pull in certain areas. The skin that has lost elasticity tends to develop wrinkles or creases in those areas.

We inject Dysport and Botox in the upper and lower regions of the face.

How long does Botox last

Botox and Dysport last 3-6 months depending on your skin type and treatment area. We recommend setting up your next Botox or Dysport appointment ahead of time, so you’re receiving injections before the wrinkles reappear.

Your wrinkles will reappear once Dysport or Botox wears off and your skin returns to its original state.

At what age can you start getting Botox?

Most women and men may start Botox treatments in their 30’s and continue through life. You could begin getting Botox or Dysport injections as early mid- 20’s. People in their mid-late twenties start using Botox or Dysport in small amounts, called “baby Botox”, as a preventative measure to delay the onset of wrinkles.

Are Dysport and Botox the same?

Both injectables are in the neuromodulator family. They relax overly contracting facial and neck muscles for a natural, smoother appearance. Both Botox and Dysport last about the same amount of time and provide the same results. The main difference is how the product is diluted, so the number of units will vary depending on which product you choose. The deciding factor is a personal preference. Let us chat about it in your appointment.

Botox or Dysport downtime and aftercare

As soon as you finish your Botox or Dysport treatment, you can head right back to most daily activities. We recommend you avoid rigorous exercise for at least 24-hours and don’t lay flat for the next 6-8 hours following treatment. Avoid touching the area or wearing makeup, and use a gentle cleanser to wash.

Does Botox hurt?

Botox and Dysport injections are virtually painless. You’ll feel a tiny prick, but our clients feel little to no pain because the needle is so tiny and the procedure is quick.
